First Steps

If you've just received your first terminal, this is a great place to start!

First you'll need to know if your terminal will operate in standalone or integrated mode - if the terminal includes a printer, it is a standalone terminal.

Standalone Terminal

Follow these steps to setup your new standalone terminal:

1. Unpack the terminal and dock and familiarise yourself with it.
2. Pay particular care to the Cautions, Care and Storage instructions.
3. Setup the dock and place the terminal on dock to charge.
4. Insert the Printer Roll.
5. Turn on the terminal.
6. Connect your terminal to your Wi-Fi Network.
7. When prompted, input your installation token. This token consists of your WEX Merchant ID & Terminal ID, separated by a space. For example, this could be "WEX99999T02 12345T02".
   
   
8. Set your passcode and complete the terminal setup.
9. Configure your products with the product setup section.
10. Familiarise yourself on how to use the standalone terminal.

Integrated Terminal - Wired

In order to setup your new integrated wired terminal you will need to follow the steps below:

1. Unpack the terminal and dock and familiarise yourself with it.
2. Pay particular care to the Cautions, Care and Storage instructions.
3. Turn on the terminal.
4. Connect to a network available onsite.
5. Familiarise yourself on how to use the integrated terminal.
6. Connect your terminal to your PC and install Wedge or EftposPlus Enterprise (dependent on your setup).
7. Contact your POS (Point of Sale) software provider for further information and instructions regarding terminal installation.
